Golden Gate Park Hall of Flowers

Safari, on a desktop Mac with retina display, blurs images, unless the website be programmed to show the high resolution image made for retina display. The blurring is not due to the retina display; it is due to Safari; drag the image off the page and open it in Preview. You will see the image unblurred. A single pixel on a non-retina display corresponds to four pixels on a retina display. Preview sets each of the four sub-pixels to the same color and exposure as the pixel in the non-retina display. Safari interpolates among the four sub-pixels.
